They are really only making it official tonight. They have been done for a week now.

    Good choices so far
again I didnīt made a statistic but it seemed like 90% of redszone user liked the idea of cueto as starter (with latos and bailey banged up)

marshall wasnīt sharp but with normal reds defence he would have 0 ER

    ....

all those elimination game statistics say nothing! the pirates were the better team for most of the season and have (in my opinion the better players) I donīt think that dusty is a super ingame manager, but I donīt get how he gets the blame for everything

and Iīm pretty sure that price has to say something aswell (which pitcher will go in and at which time dusty should pull em) but he would never get criticized...

Marte flies out to center. 5-1 Pirates after 5.

Giving up? I'm just a fan. I don't have the choice to give up or not give up. Watching my favorite team play poorly in a playoff game is frustrating.

This hurts. A lot. You guys know me as someone who usually forestalls psychological explanations and errs on the side of performance-based analysis. But I have absolutely no way to explain what happens to this team in the playoffs.

It's not on Dusty at this point, it's on this group of players. Errors and mental gaffes in all three playoff trips they've had. 2010 they were inexperienced. 2012 was a statistical anomaly... or something. This year? I hope I'm wrong and they turn this around, but this feels like a familiar script. And I think it's on them this time.

Marvel in the possibilities that are a baseball game.

All an Eeyore-mounted Debbie Downer gets at this point is prolonged misery.

Seems like sound advise but what hitters on the bench? (pinch hitting for Hannigan with the hitters on the bench)

So in your mind if I thought the world was ending tomorrow I'd be on a message board whining about a baseball game? You must think I'm a pretty cool guy.

The Reds lack composure in pressure situations. Rolen groundball, Latos grandslam, Cueto today, Cozart/BP bobbles, the 2010 no-hit/sweep and the list goes on.

You're being unfair. Nobody has said the world is ending, everyone is just venting frustration about a baseball game.

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.
