Observations:

• The 7 original team owners hold the top 7 slots in this ranking. The 5 new team owners are at the bottom. It doesn't really mean anything but I found it interesting.
• The 5 new team owners as a group have made more trades than their team's previous owners.
• The record for most trades in a season is 11, held jointly by HayPay and reds1869 from the 2012 season.
• Two teams each made 11 trades in one season, which is more than 8 teams have made in 5 seasons.
• There were nearly as many trades made in 2012 as in the other 4 seasons combined.
• There have been 18 occasions when a team has gone an entire season without making a trade.
• IowaRed never made a trade in his two seasons, but he sure did complain about other peoples' trades.
• HayPay has made more trades than anyone else, but he only made 1 trade in each of 3 seasons and 10+ in the other 2 seasons.

The league's first trade occurred during the 2nd round of the inaugural draft in 2010 when Atomic Dumpling traded Alex Rodriguez to HayPay for David Wright.

By the way, if anyone reading this wants to join the league we do have one team available. RedEye has decided to drop out due to time constraints, so I am looking for an experienced fantasy baseball player and Redszone member to take over the team. The team finished in last place the last two seasons, but all is not as it seems. This team has plenty of talent including Mike Trout, Miguel Cabrera, Yasiel Puig and Craig Kimbrel. This won't be a first come, first served franchise ownership change. I will choose the best candidate from the pool of applicants. The remaining candidates will be eligible for any other openings that may arise. Please send me a PM if you would like to take over the team.

I was just looking back at our draft from this past season. There were some really good players taken in the later rounds. Take a look at these draft picks and vote for which one you think was best:

• Dee Gordon in the 3rd round by Captain Hook.
• Scott Kazmir in the 4th round by RedEye.
• Corey Kluber in the 4th round by Atomic Dumpling.
• Russell Martin in the 5th round by Crosley68.
• Rick Porcello in the 6th round by RedEye.

I think I will vote for the Cy Young winner in the 4th round. Yaay me! Dee Gordon in the 3rd round was tremendous value too. I sure didn't see that one coming.

Observations:

• The league record for transactions in a season is 166 by Tornon in 2012.
• Edd Roush made a run at the record this year but fell just short at 155 transactions, which was more than 2x as many as anyone else this year.
• Tornon's record of 166 transactions in a single season is more than 7 teams have made in all 5 seasons.
• The record for fewest transactions in a season is 5 by HumnHilghtFreel in the league's first season.
• There have been 4 occasions when a team made less than 10 transactions in a season.
• Tornon's team averages more transactions per season than RedEye's team has made in all 5 seasons combined.
• When a franchise changes ownership the number of transactions usually jumps as the new owner remodels the team to his liking.
• Number of transactions does not correlate very well with success or failure in the All-Time Standings, which I will publish soon.
• The teams who make the most transactions are not necessarily the same teams who make the most trades, although there is a slight trend in that direction.

Tuff Nut has been selected as the new team owner to replace RedEye. He has been playing fantasy baseball for several years with good success. Welcome to the league sir! If you have any questions at all about how the league works please don't hesitate to ask them here.

We had quite a few people express interest in taking over the team, including about half the members of the Redszone Dynasty League. I hate to disappoint people but we only have one opening this year (at least so far). Thanks to all who applied, you will be put in the hat for future openings.

We are still waiting for Hebroncougar to re-join the league. I have sent him several emails and PMs but have yet to receive any reply. The draft will start in a about 10 days and we need to get that last team enrolled or move on without him. I hope he signs up soon. I am running out of patience.

If anyone knows how to contact him please give it a try. He has been on Redszone several times in recent days but has not replied to my PMs.
