While I never put much faith (credence) in ST numbers, I think a majority of us on here, when it comes to what area of this team causes them the most concern, will agree it's the offense (putting runs on the board).

It's spring training, which has been proven a million times every year to be meaningless other than the health of players.

Don't worry, Kingspoint. The Reds 2014 wins and losses have already been determined and posted online. Spring Training numbers won't help or hurt them.

The only ST games I pay attention to are the 10 or so games following the off day in the middle of the month and before the team heads north. Those are the games where the starters play most of the innings and the pitchers are fairly well stretched out. Let's see how those games go before making predictions about the season.

In 2013 spring training, the Reds finished 13-20. Clearly it was a harbinger for the upcoming season.
You are 100% correct. Spring Training stats and records mean nothing.
But it would be a lot easier to swallow if the Reds could play at least one other team in ST who, like the Reds, appear to have a lot of kinks to work out.
