I think part of his problem in Cincinnati was he worried about his poor defense too much and it affected his hitting.

when you make 12 million and strike out and smile you dont have to worry about any thing i guess.. Lou would not have put up with players laughing or grinning making outs..

    Classic Joey Votto.

That was a classic Votto hit. Booming drive to opposite field.

Reds fans are generally quite nice. Everyone here thinks the fans are too critical. Can you imagine a playoff contender with this kind of sit-still off-season in some markets?

The only thing that will speak to Walt and Bob..... is the attendance slowly going down as the season moves along and this continues.

The new HC has actually been able to have Cozart regress. How is this possible? What were they working on him with or what?

Heisey hands placement was nice when you are feeding off fat fastballs. You were dead on about him when I disagreed back in 2011..... that he did not need to take more pitches.

I thought some guys just hit better going after the first 1-3 pitches.... they were just not count workers. This guy though just does not even hit that good to be able to do that.

It amazes me how Votto has so much power to opposite field for a guy that isn't a power hitter.
