That's entirely not what I said.

I was addressing a comment made about previous playoff runs.

I posted earlier that, after this past offseason's inactivity and if the Reds are out of contention this year and make no moves to improve, I would be ready to question if we had the right GM to move forward with. Its a page or two back.

Just because I give Walt some credit for the success of the past few years, doesn't mean I'm completely happy with things right now or moving forward.

Sure would be nice if the Reds had Didi Gregorius. Cozart is not good. This team is filled with bad contracts. SELL.

Cardinals are a .500 team right now. Every team (except the Cubs) are contending at this moment. Rozelle's parity has reached MLB.

There is a long list of adjectives I would use to describe this team before I got to "contending"

How hard does an opponent laugh in its clubhouse when this lineup is presented?

The Reds can't make the playoffs playing the way they are playing. But neither can every other team outside of the Brewers and Giants in the NL. The Reds has as good a chance of making the playoffs as any other team in the NL, besides those two. And if either of the Giants or Brewers have a bad run, they are in the same boat.

To each his own but a team that hasn't been over .500 at any point in the season doesn't have as good of odds as anyone in my book. This team is wretched and I hold out zero hope of Votto ever being Votto again and am only slightly more optimistic about Latos.

And I'm not that upset about Frazier playing first defensively, it's not optimal, but ok for a game here and there.

However, Mes sitting tonight is very unfortunate. Hamels is tough against the Reds. Mes hits lefties. Santiago and Cozart in the lineup and Mes sitting. Not ideal.
Fraizer now has an error in every start he's made at 1B. And I think Cueto can give up 4 runs in 5 innings with Mesoraco catching. Definitely not ideal.

I see the royals here everyday and yes they are younger but not more talented on offense. They have two players I woukd take as starters. Gordon fir ludwick and Escobar for cozart. Perez at catcher if mez wouldn't have taken off this year.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

Cole Hamels - 10-0 vs the Reds. Just stupid.

The new Roy Oswalt. Good thing he's not in our division.
