Excited to see Tromp finally get some meaningful playing time somewhere. I think he could be a surprise. (I have no evidence to back this up)
Am I crazy? I feel like I am the only person concerned about Robert Stephenson.
You are crazy if you are truly concerned about Robert Stephenson. Honest question, what is there to really be concerned about? And remember, the number of guys his age or younger that are pitching in that league that have more than four appearances and aren't him can be counted on my thumbs.
True, but I think this issue is a two way street. His season to date certainly isn't what I had hoped for. And the walks are troubling, but can certainly be overcome.
I just think to say I'm a bit disappointed with his pitching so far this season is a fair take. Still my #1 prospect.
There is a difference between not performing as expected and being concerned. The walks aren't as big of an issue to me. He has three games where he has more than three walks. Two of them happened to have seven each. In his other thirteen starts he has 23 walks in 68.2 innings, good for a walk rate of 3.01. That isn't great, but it certainly isn't bad either, especially for the second youngest pitcher in the league who has actually been there for more than a few games.
Just seems like he is giving up a lot runs. I know era doesn't mean everything but Moscot and Lorenzen are having no trouble staying around or below 3.00 and Stephenson is now well over 4.00.
