It's kind of a set play, you see it often, draw the throw at third to let the runner score safely with no throw.

In that case, I thought it was unnecessary.

Santiago with some kind of home run.

fan reached over, dunno if intereference.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Never ceases to amaze me how many fans cannot help themselves from reaching for a ball in play.

    That would've been a homer

I should know this rule. If it's fan interference, is it a ground rule 2B? An out?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

The sad thing is that fan is going to cost them probably at least a double. He might have caught that ball but it is not definite

It looks like Schafer would have caught it. I bet it's an out

This may well be an out. But I don't think the fielder had the catch. Probably should be a double.

That's a blatant case of interference.

The ball high enough where the fan had a right to the ball. The glove came over after the fact?
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008
