Best two innings Latos has thrown this year, in terms of looking like the "old" Mat. Good to see.

I thought that he was working on taking pitches, hence the uptake in walks early in the year. Since he came back, he has become even less patient than in past years and seems to be confused on what to do.

Pitchers have figured out to throw the ball inside on Rocco.

    Don't think so Tony.

Just read through the Fangraphs charts. Jay is taking way too many pitches in the strike zone.

I think that's the problem.....they still think they have a chance in case Votto comes back and when BP comes back.

Not saying I would not try and trade for some help in LF.... but I would also look to move someone like Heisey off this team.

But If they lose out going into the 31st I would look to move Simon and Broxton too.

So he has turned into Stubbs. Take strikes, swing at balls. I wonder where this is going to go. I wrote that Uggla lost it as fast as my favorite Padre until Dave Winfield.... Nate Colbert.

I hope this is not the same case.

Some things they can do for this year.

    Don't play Cozart against RHP.
Spend resources to get Bruce all the coaching he needs, his problems can be solved.
Get a lefty platoon stop gap for LF.

Wouldn't try too hard, this season is tough, Reds are in fourth in the division and fourth in the second wild card hunt.

In time, I'm confident Bruce will come around. He's the type who gets hot with a little success. But it's painful to watch him right now, agree.
