BP in the six hole. I like that lineup very much.

Hopefully it could be a sign of the lineup in 2015.

    Hamilton
    Frazier
    Votto
    Mesoraco
    Bruce
    Phillips
    LF
    SS
    P

Is not too bad looking really.

Perhaps we might shoot higher than a seventh place hitter for LF. Just please, maybe?

The reality of a full healthy lineup with a good hitting left fielder is that Phillips hits seventh or Hamilton hits seventh. Which BP might not appreciate, but he's a low .700s OPS man, and hopefully the LFer is better than that.

Put Negron in Cozart's place, and this would be a much better lineup.

I would like it better if Phillips was pushed to seventh too, just pondering a way to keep him out of the top 4.

    Hamilton
    LF
    Votto
    Frazier
    Bruce
    Mesoraco
    Phillips
    SS
    P

    Would work too.

I would like to see Negron get some starts at SS down the stretch as well.

I bet he will get a token one, every 7-8 days. Cozzie seems to be Price/Walt fav, reguardless of how well he is not hitting.

Good lineup, considering the circumstances. Negron should get some starts at SS, but at least it is not BP back to the old 2 or 4 hole BS.

Every team needs a Ray Oyler, Hal Lanier, Johnnie LeMaster type at SS...just to give the pitcher 2 easy spots at the bottom of the order.

    Boys were 12-21 without Brandon.

Other than 4 balls by rangeless Skip and a couple by Santiago....that was the defensive replacement.....wonder the OPS of the guys when they played 2nd

Maybe with BP we would've been 13-20

Masterson is a near stiff and only a couple of Cards are hitting. The Reds should win the game.

Pirates are down by 4 vs. Braves
