Simon gave up some lasers that inning but went 7 and has given the Reds a chance. He's had some good winning karma so we'll see.

Good start by Simon, though I stand by what I said before. I don't particularly want to see him in the rotation in 2015.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Simon as a relatively low cost option, has a good chance at the rotation next year.

Just being realistic, not saying he's ideal.

What I am about to say may shock you, but the Reds just lost a one run game.

You hate Heisey more than anyone....would you have let Bruce and Skip bat vs a tough lefty with runners on base in the 7th.

At that time Skip was 0 for his last 11 and Bruce 1 for his last 12 with 8 K

People can blame coaches if they want to, but..

Players gotta play, play, play, play, play.

I don't hate anyone, but the Skippy love is concerning. Foolish as it may seem, I would have pinch hit for both with Ludwick and Heisey

The Skip like is Dusty Rule by the numbers roll the Dusty Dice book. Having said all that....... Why Walt did not release Jack H last month and bring up Felix Perez still puzzles me.
