    9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles

Here's tonights lineup. None of the new call ups are in there. I have feeling we ain't going to see much of them this month. They are just here in spirit.

    1. Billy Hamilton (S) CF
    2. Todd Frazier (R) 1B
    3. Brandon Phillips (R) 2B
    4. Devin Mesoraco (R) C
    5. Jay Bruce (L) RF
    6. Chris Heisey (R) LF
    7. Brayan Pena (S) DH
    8. Kristopher Negron (R) 3B
    9. Ramon Santiago (S) SS
    Reds Fan Since 1971

I don't care to see too many of them....though I'm good watching any pitcher that we haven't seen much of opposed to Hoover, LeCure, Ondrusek

Phillips hitting third. Either he had a very successful off day, or somebody isn't watching.

Well I think the logical argument would be that they wan to give the call-ups a day at least to adjust to the surroundings without being thrown into the fire all at once.

You can't not start him it bat him below 4th

    Will hurt his feelz

But I'd bat him 7th for a series and then watch him tear it up because his ego is hurting. (Or I'd like to see it tried to see if I'm right lol)

One of my wishes for 2015 is that the Reds' offense is so potent and healthy that Phillips has to hit seventh.

There are zero scenarios outside of him going into Price's office and saying that everyone else is better and it's probably best I bat 7th.

Once you are a Reds proven player.....you never lose any playing time or batting position.

Phillips has good career numbers vs. Norris. Not that that should matter but in Price's mind I'm sure it does.

I have noticed that Price knows when one of his players hits well off of a pitcher....but also feel coaches need to go with their gut some.

Phillips is 8 for 47....he is likely due a 2/4 game with production

    Who was hurt?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.
