hahaha, after Price said yesterday they weren't going to play a lot of young guys. This season is hilarious.

I love it! (Where is the split squad playing today?)

This is the free game on MLB.com. Now I will watch!

Oh they are facing Chris Tillman, RHP
    http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index...inmlb_balmlb_1
    11-5, 3.36 ERA
Tillman only allowed one run in a win against the Twins on Saturday, but he only lasted five innings for his third non-quality starts in 16 outings. During that stretch, the starting pitcher is 6-3 with a 2.13 ERA.
As they're struggling at the plate, the Reds will have a tall order when they face Baltimore's starter for the series finale. Chris Tillman has been sensational since the All-Star break, posting a 4-0 record with a 1.85 ERA in nine second-half starts. The right-hander was 7-5 with a 4.11 ERA before the break.

Tillman has also been fantastic at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, where his 2.50 ERA this season would be the best single-season mark by an Orioles pitcher in the history of the ballpark.
    Reds counter with Mike Leake.

Love seeing the call-ups in the lineups, but does Bryan Price ever pay attention to himself when he's speaking? Wow. lol

And I can see Leake not getting out of the 3rd. He currently has 13 straight scoreless innings but he won't get that out of the first inning.

Looking forward to it. Would be one of the more memorable games of the year if they can actually hang in there and pull off an unlikely W.

Is this Price trying to send a message?

If so, what is the message? As he has said all year (including last night) that the effort was never in question. Just the results.

BALTIMORE — Bryan Price wasn't kidding on Wednesday night when he said he was going to give a chance for some other players to play.

After losing 6-0 and managing just four hits against Miguel Gonzalez, Price said:

"I do think we've got to this point where we've got some guys up here that we need to take a look at. We need to see what they're all about. We're not doing anything at all, offensively. It makes it a lot easier to start to see what we have in our system, to see what we have moving forward."

The season's over. Might as well play these guys.

Let's put Jay Bruce's .667 OPS season out of its misery.

Yorman is the only young position player worth giving a lot of time to that was called up.

Sometimes coaches just use coach speak, it doesn't mean much.

I really can't blame him for holding out hope for as long as possible. I am sure he knew earlier than last night. Part of me still thinks a 10-game win streak gets them back in it. But most of me knows that isn't going to happen.
