Price is more buttoned down than he was portrayed, IE by the book

First sub-par season from LeCure...ERA isn't bad, but his WHIP has taken a hit this year. Too early to call Sam done IMO. Everybody has a bad year now and then. He's had way too much success to say he's done already IMO.

I know we can still lose by one. The rest of you give up too easily.

Wind came out of the sails as soon as he sent up Pena, trying to muster the Old Guard to finish the yeoman work of the younguns.

Followed by the usual 7th inning bullpen formula, blah blah blah.

Price not showing enough feel for the moment tonight.

It's time to burn the damn book and write a new one to follow.

He's pitched a ton and those good middle guys seem to have about 3-4 good years and then just lose the ability to get anyone out when it matters. I think he's very replaceable within.

He throws 88 (on a good day) with nothing on it. Enough is enough.

Like never naming your farm animals, never fall in love with your middle relievers. They come, they go. Use them if effective, chuck them if not.

His arm is toast. Can't believe they keep rolling him out there.

The New Guys @ Orioles 9/4/14

While at the Nationals/Orioles game we sat in front row of OF while Baltimore warmed up and this Tommy Hunter (who has struggled of late) was quite the character he talked to everyone in the row and was messing with everyone. Good guy

Now hopefully he gives up a HR

If LeCure could pitch as well as he can tweet, I might cut him some slack.

He's NEVER had high velocity. But other than this season he's also always had success. Changing speeds, pin point control...velocity isn't the end-all, be-all.

Not trying to excuse his season at all. He's been bad. Not Hoover-bad, so even putting him in the same sentence is borderline criminal. :O) But he's not somebody I'd cut loose yet. Moving him down the bullpen pecking order, sure. Dumping him, no thanks.

I felt that way early on with LeCure struggling, but it's been all season now and he doesn't pass the eye test. Can't consistently get major league hitters out anymore.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
