62 pitches through 2 innings. He'll be gone soon enough.

Earlier this season somebody posted that Simon will get hurt if he continues to start all season. I didn't agree.

But at this point, I agree. He is laboring.

Enough with him, declare his season over. No more innings until April, in whatever capacity.

    Phillips gets a bloop hit.

Great play by Phillips not running into an automatic out at second.

    Good hold, BP.

Phillips with his first hit since? Smoked it to center

    First and third, Bourgeois up.

If it gets to Simon, use a hitter.

Colon botches, Keith Hernandez doesn't quite pronounce Bourgeois, Reds in business.

This seems like a good matchup, these teams will battle all weekend, in their way.

    3-2 game.

Man, Santiago smoked that ball, but right to Granderson in right.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Textbook scoop by Pena at first. By textbook, I mean he completely whiffed and the ball went into the stands.

Frazier and Pena follow that play up with an even uglier one but this time they connect for the out, and now Simon escapes without giving up a run this frame.

Frazier probably not used to playing third base.

Frazier thrown out twice on the bases tonight.

I'd give Frazier a day off....another unnecessary out on the bases and I'd pull him mid game.
