yes Bruce has had a bad year, but BP was having a solid year before he hurt his thumb. Then came back early to try and help the team. Obviously hasn't been the same. His defense tho has been stellar, as always!

Imagine if we have gotten the production one could reasonably have expected from Votto, Bruce, and Phillips and combined that with what Mesoraco and Frazier have done?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

That's the million-dollah question, considering that Price stuck Bruce out there for the first time in his life.

Still confused on how he's cleared to play if it's too early. At what point do we know he's ok? After a 3 for 4 game? After a week of 10/31 with a couple HR?

But what can we reasonably expect from any of those 3 guys in the future? Seriously.

Since you asked, I'd prefer Rocco had played some first on the days that he's not catching. But feel free continuing to assume that you actually know what I think.

I have no desire to see Mes at 1st base. My issue is having Frazier/Bruce play it as often as they have. pena has been solid down there. Instead we go with an extra guy in the bullpen, oh well, this season is all but over now!

We shall see. I think Votto is back to at least 2013 form, I expect Bruce to be back to regular career norms, and BP...no idea. Seems every season now it's some injury that he's playing through that hurts his performance.

Unless one has a crystal ball, it's impossible to answer that question.

If I remember correctly, BP said he wouldn't be completely healthy until the offseason. That was as he was coming back. I don't understand the hate that BP gets. He's a fan favorite, just not on Redszone!

But he's enamored for getting back so soon.

As soon as he and Molina were out with similar injuries to their hand/wrist....Welsh and Thom started on the Phillips is only going to be out 4-6 weeks and Molina 8? Then BP gets back for the Cards series and Welsh again speaks of how hard he worked to get back and Molina isn't even close.

Coming into today since Phillips has been back he has 9 hits and the Reds have had 5 wins. Since Molina came back he's also had 9 hits and the Cardinals 6 wins in the games he has played.
