Four of the nine are September call-ups. They are not likely to do much worse than the lineup last night. The Reds, of course, were shut out on one hit.
And, as super stat man Joel Luckhaupt pointed out on Twitter, this isn't that much different than the regular Reds lineup in terms of numbers: "Tonight's lineup .235/.302/.353 in the big leagues this year, which is basically the same as the team's .238/.298/.365 line."

Sad part is not many are actually young'uns, nor legitimate prospects. Yorman, certainly. Lutz and Barnhart, sure. Corcino, maybe.
Realistically, that lineup's just a bunch of dreck.

Votto's been very impressive in batting practice today. Looks like old Votto. #reds
Did the Reds charge a AAA admission to tonight's game? Because that is a AAA lineup. I'm glad Yorman, Lutz and Corcino are playing. The others are dreck like billdoran said.

Yorman goes deep. Mark it down.

If it weren't against the Cubs it would be a threat to the integrity of the game if the regulars were any better.
Negron starts things off with a double.

And then they give away an out.

1-0 as YRod gets him in with the ground out.

already a better showing---
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
I miss Raisor
I hope somebody tells these guys they can take a pitch. They score a run but are out on 6 pitches.

I'm certainly no scout, but it seems like Corinco can't keep a consistent release point. I know he's supposed to be Cueto Jr. but he reminds me more Volquez -- a lot of effort and not really sure where it's going.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
