Nope. An anxious Bruce K's on a pitch a foot wide. Choate is tough.

Cards likely win this game, but they are going to have a hard time advancing in the playoffs with Rosenthal as their closer.

I doubt it. Seems to have a very hard time recognizing pitches.

Blergh. Ludwick flies to cf. Ballgame.

Reds one run loss game record is 0-10,000.

Hard to believe the Reds were 1 1/2 games out of 1st on July 17, and now are 15 games out 2 months later. It has to be getting close to some kid of record for futility.

    Lefties hitting .104 vs Choate

Bruce 1-11 with 7 Ks vs Choate lifetime.

Righties like Bourgeois and Yorman on the bench. Yet Bruce hits. 1-12, 8 Ks.

    How the Reds roll.

As a 1st-year manager, maybe Price deserves a pass for that. Next season he'll probably know better.

I'm not defending that decision cause it is a dumb one, but don't try and sit here and tell me most managers (including our last manager) don't bat Bruce in that situation.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Because that's what it's come to? We're defending Price's apparent bad decisions because other managers might do the same?

Bruce is hopeless at this stage.

I'm not defending it, I just get tired of the same old "fire the manager" shtick. You were doing it with Dusty too.

You're right about that. I was no fan of Baker.

And no matter how many poor or inexplicable decisions Price makes, I will never be.
