Discussed earlier, the end of the season should reduce the number of articles on this score.

I hope this game ends with Cesar Izturis coming back to hit a walk-off grand slam.

That may not necessarily be a prerequisite for signing him to a multi-year deal.

Odd fact: Neil Walker is a career .770 OPS guy, but his lowest OPS against a divisional team is .779 (against Milwaukee). Basically he wears out the rest of the NL Central.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Is Cozart actually better than Negron at anything on the baseball field?

Also while there is no doubt the offense is bad, I'm always amused when people go in histrionics over it...almost always when the team we are playing has the same amount of runs as we do*. The Pirates 681 runs going into today is good for 4th in the NL but would be good for dead last in 2006. Game has changed, brothas.

*for clarification, I mean in the game that is being played.

So, if this score continues, how long do you let Cueto go to get #20? 10? 11? More?

If Cozart is the starting SS next year, the Reds didn't do enough during the off season to improve the team.
