I didn't care for the ending. I guess Jimmy had to break bad for a while but I started to really pull for his character.
I'm way behind and just watched this episode. Wow.
It made me wonder if Gilligan would have made a better choice by building the prequel around Mike. He's just a far more complex and interesting character than Slippin' Jimmy. He's that classic, quiet, hardened, flawed character, that you can't stop rooting for. Very John Wayne-seque.

I actually really like the choice of Jimmy. Mike is great as a complimentary character (I'm obviously a huge fan) but I think the character might wear a little thin as the lead. His sangfroid is more effective when contrasted with the emotiveness of others like Jesse or Jimmy.
