I loathe the off day after opening day
I loathe the off day after opening day
Yesterday's game had a little bit of everything - great pitching and defense, dramatic home runs, bonehead managing decisions, an epic Pete Rose in game interview/color commentary, a balk scoring a run, etc. Overall a very satisfying day.
The extreme change in emotion from the Gregg experience to Frazier's homerun won't be soon forgotten.

I have to wonder exactly what went into the thinking of adding Kevin Gregg to the roster, as the decision makers are not stupid men by any means. Bob Castellini is an extremely successful businessman, and Bryan Price surely knows more about major league pitching than the collective lot of us here. It's easy to sit here in the cheap seats
and take potshots at the various calls on the field and front office, but at the end of the day the guys actually calling the shots have the wherewithal to make better decisions than message board denizens. So why Kevin Gregg? What are we missing? He even looked bad in spring training. It does not compute.
