I think Mesoraco clearly gave us the best chance to win the game and, frankly, that is all the manager should care about. Glad we got good defense out there for the 10th inning that we are still waiting for though.

Damn. You know Gregg probably could have played SS in the 10th. Then an injured slumping Mes could have batted for Negron and the Reds would have won.

Not covering first on the ball that Phillips had surrounded easily, costing Leake at least 10 additional pitches.

Boring and not very good. Combined with last year, feels like we are entering a real dead era.

Seriously, the best we can hope for is 81-81, if that. Time to just be a casual fan. And that's OK, but it sure is disappointing.

Well then over the last two years you have been one happy man. Particularly when JC doesn't pitch.

4 hits. Kind of the bigger issue.

He shouldn't have used Skip as PH earlier considering Cozart out and he is last remaining utility infielder

If that's what Chapman thinks...Chapman is wrong. Chapman got himself into that mess...and his wildness on that pitch is what caused that passed ball. I was surprised Tucker didn't catch it, but it was wildly outside and not exactly slow either. But the blame is 100% on Chappy. The loss, however, is 100% on the offense IMO.
