    We're good again!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Tonight's "Joe Nuxhall Star of the Game" is Tucker Barnhart, who had his first career four-hit game, including a double and 2 RBI's!

8-19 w/ RISP with zero homeruns on the night.

    6 Walks
    6 Stolen Bases
    17 Hits

It was like playing an old pinball machine I remember where you just kept slapping singles and moving the runners around the bases.

    Re: 6/29/2015 Twins at Reds

Still stuck in the deep south and will be until Sunday. No TV, no radio, and only the game thread. Most entertaining except for the movie stuff. My problem is the same one I have always had. When a pitcher is obviously throwing batting practice, he should be replaced. Apparently, that's not part of the philosophy around the Reds' brain trust. Whatever. On Leake...well you just never know what you're going to get and that should be a given. I would try to deal him soon if anyone will give up anything for him if they don't plan to sign him. Deep down, I think they will sign him. On offense, Tucker had a super game and the middle of the order was 10-22, including the much maligned Marlon Byrd. Pitching was Leake's implosion, Adcock's scary outing, Parra's scoreless two innings and Chapman's 3 K night. Note that the bullpen pitched 5 innings, allowing no hits, no runs, and held them after the 6-run fourth innings. Much improvement. Billy has 40 steals, but still can't hit even though he had two tonight.

Enjoyed it, friends. Didn't participate because the Wi-Fi here was off until now and was following on my iPhone on a LTE connection. Just isn't worth it.

I don't know if he's ever going to become an MLB starter or not, but I sure as heck like Tucker Barnhart. Good kid.

    Mike Leake quote:

"Well, I got a little bored, but that's no excuse," Leake said, referring to the Reds' 10-batter rally. "I just elevated some balls that they took advantage of it. They put a good inning together."

He'll be more excited when he's pitching in SF in a month or so. Perfect landing spot for him and his abilities imo.

Chris Welsh commented on both of Hamilton's hit after his second one. The first was a well executed hard put drag bunt from the right side that he was able to outrun the throw from the charging second baseman. The second was a Baltimore chop down the third baseline that again they couldn't beat him on. Welsh said something like this is what he needs to do, is to be "pesky" at the plate (his word) and put the ball in play. The two hits with a walk in between them was a good night for Billy. Now to replicate it or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

If he's bored give that man an Ipad or something. Let him Tweet,do Facebook, look at porn or whatever to keep him from being bored. Boredom can be fixed.
