8/6/2015 Cardinals at Reds DAY GAME

A 12:35 game today. Bourgeois in CF. Seems like he always plays these 12:35 games. This is also the free game of the day on MLBTV. Cards resting Peralta and Molina too.

Grichuk hitting cleanup after killing us last night. I hate the Angels for trading a first round pick like him to the Cardinals just so they could get back a declining David Freese. Now Grichuk will terrorize us for years.

Holy Moses (Thom voice) look at those temperatures in Arizona. WOW was Randy Johnson dominant.

The Cardinals lineup (and the Nats as well)....I just can't see either holding up in the postseason, if Nats even make it.

I don't know what they're saying officially, but it's been raining off and on all morning and they're predicting an inch or more of rain throughout the day. Getting this game in today may be problematic.

The crazy thing about that is, Grichuk was a throw-in in that trade after LA asked for Fernando Salas.

But don't fret too much, sustained success with a 30% K-Rate and sub 6% BB-Rate doesn't usually happen.
I don't like to sound egotistical, but every time I stepped up to the plate with a bat in my hands, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the pitcher.

From what I saw on weather.com they are saying a near 100% chance of rain most of the afternoon. It doesn't look good. Cards are back in Cincy in mid September for a four game series. That may turn into a five gamer.

Well, I took a personal half day - but I'm not going to waste it and pay for parking just for them to call it an hour after start time. The Cards trip in September has two day games (Sat and Sun) - so it's looking good for a day/night doubleheader. Another problem is that with the two tickets I have, only one can be used for the makeup game... and that was a mistake on the Reds part! Normally exchanged tickets are complimentary-no value-no rain check.

I was going to take the day off and go to the game. But I saw the forecast earlier this week and I'm glad I didn't wast a day off to go.

Is umpire Ben May's picture grayed out because he was voted off the crew?

The #Reds / Cards game today is not expected to start on time due to weather. We're expecting another update at 12:30.
