I never saw him play but he was a great player in the formative years of the NFL. I do remember his as a broadcaster. He was the voice of reason and sanity in a booth that would be filled with insanity at times. He was very good at PBP and being an analyst. He was truly an institution on Monday television. RIP Frank Gifford.
