With the amount he has played this season and the order in the line up. It seems incredible Pena only has 13 RBI

Pena just misses extra bases, I thought for a second he had finally hit his first HR.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

That's just Todd being Todd. Difference is he connected with more of those in the 1st half of the season than he has in the 2nd.

He looked more plate-smart up there in the first half. He would still swing at stuff outside the zone, but he looked more disciplined. That seems to have disappeared this past month.

Yonder Alonso has made it his life's mission to crush the Reds whenever he plays them, while being sub-par or worse against every other team in the league.

I knew that lead off HBP to Solarte would haunt, but jeez.

I'll bet you he's swinging at stuff outside the strike zone at about the same rate as he did in the first half of the season.

I'm not so sure getting someone like Todd to be more disciplined would be productive. I think if these guys were more patient, it would be counter-productive.

Iglesias' stuff looks fine, but his body language strikes me as being off, even before the HR.

I'm not sure how to figure that out so maybe one of the stat guys can help out, but I think forcing pitches to throw more strikes to Frazier would be productive. Yes, he's one of the best bad ball hitters in the game, but he can mash stuff in the zone too.
