Its still good to beat the Dodgers even though they really aren't a rival any longer.
Thought Leake would have been a great fit for them. I think he's going to pay off in the long run better than Latos will for LA.
Rounding third and heading for home...

    No he didn't.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Through his first 160 PA's he did. And you helped make my point. After just one tough week, he lost 100 OPS points.

BTW, Geno has a career .730 OPS, pretty much what Cozart had after his first 130 games. It's very early in Geno's career. He could get better, or he could get worse. I'd like to see a lot more before taking away Cozart's job and handing it to Geno.

It's not about handing anyone anything. Cozart got hurt, Suarez stepped up. Cozart is older, Suarez is younger. Cozart is more expensive, Suarez is cheaper. Cozart was awful in 2014, Suarez was solid in 2014.

Cozart and Geno have identical WAR's this year, in the same amount of playing time. Geno has the advantage in salary and health, Cozart has the advantage in experience. I'm not against Geno winning the job, I just don't think he has yet.

Saber dictum: dump before they drop. Cozy may pick-up next year right where he left off this year. Or better. Saber says don't bet on it.
