    That rally disappeared quickly.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Anybody but me think Votto limits himself with the choking up. Or Frazier hitting into double plays...

Oh, don't apologize my friend. We're in agreement. Bryan Price is all "follower" and no "leader."

Hopefully we can flip 3 of our glut of "above average" young pitchers for a good bat this offseason.

    Buckeyes leaning toward 2-QB system?

    Wait, wrong board. My fault.

I wish everyone was as limited as Votto... Doesn't he have some of the best numbers in baseball with 2 strikes?

Reds walking all these opposing pitchers is strategy: clog the bases and tire them out by having to run the bases.

I like what I'm seeing out of young Mr. Lamb. Kudos.

This is fun -- Suarez getting more hits - Lamb looking good for 1st start -- nice wine - watching game on IPad with sound off & watching John Cale videos on the TV
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

Scully very appreciative of Phillips and his career. Pointed out that BP was considering dropping the pop up to try for DP, said Brandon always thinking out there. I remember McCarver also complimenting BP's defense with lofty adjectives.

When Phillips is healthy he can still can play, although certainly not a perfect player. Key with him is to avoid playing hurt, which has hampered a couple of his recent seasons.
