    8/24/2015 Tigers at Reds

This is a makeup game from June 18th. Don't asked my why they are making it up but they are. Just to rub it in Price puts Schumaker in the leadoff spot. This is also the free game of the day on MLBTV. Yes it is that bad.

    All Skippy all the time.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I really hope Skip gets traded before the deadline, and is being showcased. Otherwise, I can see no logic in giving him this many starts.

that is my hope but doubt much if any interest in him- too bad Adam Duvall is blowing his chance to play by not hitting at Louisville. Had hoped he'd get a chance to play in Cincy .

Price gave thumbs up that Chapman's shoulder is better. "I would've used him if there was a save situation yesterday." #reds

what if Chapman is not kill?

If I were managing this team, I would play Schumaker every day for awhile except against lefties.

When you've lost 9 in a row, you need veterans who won't get too down, who have seen this before, even if their skills are diminished.

Price obviously feels that he can live without Ryan Lamarre tonight, and that Schumaker's leadership may help them win a game or two. The club is probably demoralized from all this losing, and certain players will help them try to restore an edge and a winning attitude.

You may have a point but... gross.

And I mean gross at the thought that this is what the Reds are reduced to.

Since the #Reds & #Tigers game was rained out, Reds have gone from 12.5 GB to 26.5 GB in NLC. Tigers have gone from 5.5 GB to 16 GB in ALC.

    Feel the excitement!

Also bums me out to remember that was the series where Moscot got injured. I think he has a much better future as a starter than Holmberg or Sampson and I wish we got to see him more in the rookie rotation.
