This Reed has thrown some great games, but other than that the early returns on the Cueto trade are mixed.

Lamb has thrown some nice 5-inning stints, but looks like a fifth starter type.

Finnegan isn't exactly dominating in AAA, I understand they are converting him to starter.

    As someone said, it's early.

That's what he said. I was waiting for him to go off about how parents just don't spank their kids like they used to.

I'm not sure who's teaching these young uns to pitch but they sure are throwing a lot of pitches in the early innings.

Marty ripped the official scorekeeper on the hit awarded to the Dodgers that Votto didn't get.

no idea where Lamb ends up in the scheme of things but I have to admit I love watching him pitch....love his demeanor on the mound....he kinda looks like his parents drove him to the game and made him play

I think Lamb has the stuff to be a solid rotation guy, he just needs time/experience.

With Finnegan, I worry that the Reds overestimated how ready he was as a starter. Just a year removed from his only full, 100+ inning season as a starter in college, he's looking like someone who should have gone to AA to get stretched out as a starter, not AAA. It is possible the bullpen is his final destination.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Thom meanwhile said it was hit hard and was a single all the way.

I thought he probably should have had it.
