Quality start alert! Lamb I believe will be just fine, just keep sending out there every 5th day till the end of the season and reevaluate at that time.

Not a bad outing for Lamb, though not a particularly good one either. 5 innings, 5 hits, 3 walks, 6 strikeouts, 3 earned runs.

I am loving the K to BB ratio overall for him, and I don't think he's going to keep giving up HRs at the current rate he is. Just has to learn and get better.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It's gotten to the point where the sooner the Brennamans ride out of town, the better. The game has passed them by.

What did I say at the beginning of the month. Give this team 150 games (plus instructional league, winter ball, AFL, spring training) and the pitching is going to wildly improve. But between now and then it's going to be ugly and inconsistent.

I'd just add that walks are the by product of being a good hitter. Period.

Look at the guys who don't walk very much. Pitchers aren't afraid to go after them.

Tucker Barnhart earned himself contention for the Marty B award on that one.

Hey Cowboy...which would be better. A runner on third with one out or runners on first and second with no outs?

And son-of-Marty spat out that Barnhart's only seen 2 pitches tonight in 2 AB's. Such disdain/disgust.

He only asks that you see a lot of pitches but not enough to walk, because that's being passive.

If you're a Red, you don't just let yourself and your team down when you fail.

You let Thom and Marty down. And we just can't have that.

You know, just when I thought Thom couldn't out-dufus himself, he did just that.

I like good pitchers on my team, Cowboy.
