Luck is running out for Holmberg, HR Van Slyke. 2-0 blues.

Cueto pitching tonight. Might have to switch over. We all know how this is going to go with Holmberg.

Utley homers as I'm typing that last comment. I'm out.

Holmberg might be the worst Reds starter I have ever seen. And I mean ever. That's saying something considering all the junk we saw during the Lost Decade.
18 homers allowed in 62 innings and more walks than strikeouts.
Awful.
The Lost Decade Average Season: 74-88
2014-22 Average Season: 71-91

I remember being at Riverfront on August 25, 1989. It was the first game managed by Tommy Helms after Pete got banned. I was sitting in the lower stands down the 3rd base line. Andy Van Slyke was up and hit a rocket right towards me. I tried to catch it, but it glanced off my hand and I never saw it again. I got booed. The Reds got pounded 12-3 that night. It was a bad night all around. 26 years ago yesterday.

I think it may have been Paul Wilson who couldn't get out of the 1st inning one fine Saturday night several years ago and I think it was against PIT. Was it Milton who got lit up by L.A. on Sunday night baseball several years ago?
