Thom asked the big saber question and concerning batting average....and it didn't make much sense. Lol

OK, Thom...one more time since you didn't get it the first 9308042081-01kswu09q3ijt233--332 times it's been said: WALKS ARE A RESULT OF YOUR APPROACH TO BATTING. YOU LOOK FOR A PITCH TO DRIVE, FOUL OFF STRIKES THAT YOU CAN'T, AND TAKE THE REST. IF YOU DON'T GET A PITCH TO DRIVE, THEN TAKE THE WALK.

    Ok pal.
According to Thom there are many kinds of baseball metrics out there... Saber, and, you know, other kinds.

Thom doesn't understand that you can't walk on an 0-1 count.

Raisel is back, and he's pissed. Quick inning with 2 Ks.

Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who has no idea what the hell Thom is going on about.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Thom kinda has a point... that hits are more valuable than walks, but he is too clueless to know how to make it.

    Re: 8.28.15 Reds @ Brewers

Chris had it right: the name of the game is not making outs. If you are at bat, then you can score. If you make 3 outs, then you can no longer score. Getting on base is the only way to not make an out. Thus getting on base 44% of the time is better than getting on base 35% of the time.

Rocket surgery for some people, apparently.

At least he's trying. Which is better than what's come before this point.

I think he's surrounded and circled it to now get on about hits=more rbis, the platinum standard that I believe he'll now get to.

tHommy and Price agreeing on ridiculousness of walking Votto... Meanwhile, despite being the best hitter by a mile since the AS break, Votto's not been able to help win very many games. Yup, that strategy is soooo ridiculous.

Both these pinheads need to go for general stupidity.
