Both these pinheads need to go for general stupidity.
I do agree that it's kinda stupid if you're a team with a large lead against the Reds and maybe an out or two on the board. Goes against spirit of competition. If I was a pitcher, I'd wanna go after him and see if I can get him out.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Hey Chris Welsh....good idea with the experienced pitcher to talk to the young guys during the game. Reds have people who could do that.

A lot of us call him Cowboy

Reds never win. Ever. Hard to knock the strategy.

Is nightlife in Milwaukee that exciting that these guys are just trying to get the game over with or what?

Thom thinks the Brewers mascot is in charge of the retractable roof situation.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Sabermetrics admits that hits lead to more runs than walks. Singles are valued at .89 runs each, walks at .69 runs each, when figuring out wOBA. Thom is correct that there is some point where a higher batting average is better than a higher OBP, but the example he used is not that point.

Pretty much every saber fan would admit that a hit driven OBP would lead to more runs than a walk driven OBP. He's fighting windmills.

Jungmann is a weird case of being a top pick who didn't domuch in the minors but looking like a complete pitcher in the majors at least so far. Fangraphs has a pretty good article about it.

I GOTTA ask (Thom voice)...would you rather have the guy who is 35/40 in SB or the guy who is 14/15?
