“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Both of the called strikes to Votto were inside. He ends up grounding out to first.

Oh my goodness. I feel for you guys who care about wins at this point. This team is even worse than I expected by this point (and that's saying quite a bit).
Was Jumbo a mirage last season? Sure seems like it.
7-2 Brewers going to the bottom of the 9th after Jumbo gives up 3 ER.
Duvall!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Reds can't even let me enjoy Duvall's HR for a minute before sending up Skippy and reminding me of how he helped lose the first game and blow up Lamb's line.
And of course the excellent pinch hitter he is, he strikes out on a fastball down the middle.

Seriously, I'm probably higher on Duvall than most. Hitting 30 HRs at the Triple-A level is not easy, period. I don't care if 26 of them came in the hitter-friendly PCL. I think Duvall could be a nice piece of the puzzle moving forward. Not a star, or even an everyday starter, but a good bench player that can also be a solid spot starter. Good to see him make a good first impression with the Reds.
This is exactly the stuff I'm talking about, boys! Duvall hitting HRs? Good. The Reds losing and enhancing their draft pick? Also good.
