Is having Oktoberfest in early September an acknowledgement that there was never an expectation of games in October?

Oktoberfest IIRC has always in Cincinnati held in September: Oktoberfest Zinzinnati will be 2 weeks and the Reds are not in town, hence celebrating this weekend.

Munich's Oktoberfest is always in mid-September, lasting 16 days until the first weekend in October.

Wow, great play by Frazier and stretch by Votto.

Welsh: "Maybe it's not up to Votto to change his approach at the plate, maybe the team should figure out how to build an offense around his strengths."

Love it when a walk leads to a run batted in.

Some very good commentary by Chris Welsh today.

    1. Noted how Bruce is prone to easy fly ball outs to LF.

    2. Noted that Reds need to structure an offense that takes advantage of Votto's skills. Instead of critiquing Votto, try to take advantage of his rare abilities.
