Bad luck continues for Lamb today. BP doesn't make the catch on the over the shoulder type play he always seems to make for a leadoff single.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The next time someone in the ORG scoffs at the idea of luck factoring into baseball results, especially in small sample sizes - they should be forced to watch this game until they repent their ways.

And good lord Skip just missed another one. God he is bad.

    5-3 now on a groundout

These last two runs really should be charged to Schumaker, not Lamb

If Shoemaker plays one game for the Reds past the end of this season, I will hunt down Walt Jocketty and club him like a baby seal.

This game is one reason why even though I love the use of stats, I'll never discount scouting altogether.

Lamb's box score is going to look decidedly awful today but if it wasn't for a few fluke bloop hits and some awful outfield defense he'd be just fine. Unbelievable.

That ball just kept carrying. I'm surprised it stayed in the park.
