For all the rumors that BP and Joey didn't like each other. They seem to have had a lot of fun playing next to each other this season.

0-0, 2 runs, 2 BBs for Joey, watch out Bryce...

This is the first time I've heard this even hinted at. Where are these rumors you're talking about?

Pitcher must be so much happier seeing De Jesus coming to bat after Jay than Suarez.

    Oh well, Suarez now.

Talking about hiring a fan favorite as manager (Craig Counsell)

    Foreshadowing.

This is the first time I've heard this even hinted at. Where are these rumors you're talking about?
Did Brandon not show a bit of disdain about Votto's approach at the plate, then Votto had a dig back at him? Maybe im imagining things.

Think it goes back to the rumors last year of Reds players thinking Votto should have been playing hurt.

And the article about their approaches from spring training

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...-rbi/70337854/

"I don't do that MLB Network on-base percentage (stuff),'' Phillips told USA TODAY Sports. "I think that's messing up baseball. I think people now are just worried about getting paid and worrying about on-base percentage instead of just winning the game.

"That's the new thing now. I feel like all of these stats and all of these geeks upstairs, they're messing up baseball, they're just changing the game. It's all about on-base percentage. If you don't get on base, then you suck. That's basically what they're saying. People don't care about RBI or scoring runs, it's all about getting on base.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Not that I can ever recall.

Tom posted the stuff. I'd missed that.

Game 2 yesterday was not televised.

Anyway, they seem to having fun playing next to each (as much as they can on this horrible team) more than I can remember, good to see.

Re: 9/6/15 - Reds vs Brewers

You've got a 3 run lead Mike, just throw strikes to Lind.

Lind singles to left, but that's better than the 4 pitch walk to him earlier IMO. Lorenzen gets the next guy to pop up to first.

    Four scoreless now for Lorenzen.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Lorenzen has only given up 2 hits in 4 innings.

Skippy didn't win the Heart & Hustle award?
