Labor Day Monday 9.7.15 Pirates @ Reds 1:10 PM

Duvall is forced to labor in lieu of Skip and Suarez is forced out of the comfort of the 7 slot. Please hide your disappointment Redszone.

Pirates game ended at 11:30 EDT in St. Louis last night. They didn't land in Cincinnati until 4:00 am this morning. Now they play a game at 1:05....

    Terrible scheduling by MLB.

Game time is at 1:10. Those extra 5 minutes make all the difference.

No excuse for the Reds to lose...but they probably find a way.

Look for Kang to hit as he was rested.

It does not matter what Duvall does, be it good or bad....Skip starts the next 2

Well of course and that makes sense, we really need to find out what we have in Skip, not much of a history to go on.

Hopefully not. Billy is expected to be back in the lineup tomorrow, so let's hope Price will move Jason Unknown over to LF.

Its surprising the MLBPA allows that. Hopefully the Reds can take advantage though.

Glad DuVall is finally getting a chance. Unless he's a complete disaster in LF he should be out there the rest of the season.

Crap like this happens every year. They used to have real people (an actual married couple) design the schedule. Selig fired them and now a computer designs the schedule. It's a disgrace.

Would it have made sense for the Pirates to just stay in St Louis and get a decent night's sleep then fly in this morning? Are players that much of night owls that they are adjusted to the odd schedules?

Lots of Bucs' fans around...not like the Cubs-but they might make some noise. Unless they're wilting like I am!

The Pirates are starting LHP's in all three games, so I would be surprised if Schumaker gets a start in any game this series.

Thing is, Price is probably thinking, "We have to at least try to win these games. Gotta go with the veteran Skip over these minor-leaguers. It's the right thing to do."

Great AB and a base knock for Bruce
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
