Oakland is +5 but only two wins better than the Reds. Pythagoras be damned

How soon before Thom says "see, you have to put the bat on the ball. Never know what's going to happen" or something along those lines?

Does Clint Hurdle not realize that he could be teaching Happ a lesson here?

So it rubs other people the wrong way how Thom can't stop fawning over teams like the Mets and the Cubs while he spent almost the entirety of the Reds successful period from 2010-2013 being a misanthrope, right?

Pena comes up lame. Wonder if this leg injury will sap his power the a leg injury did Votto.

DeJesus has the best hitter on the planet behind him. His job is to stand there without moving the bat until he strikes out or walks.

Bryce Harper putting the pressure on Votto. He's 3/4 tonight with 2 HR and a double and single-handily keeping the Nats afloat

My guess is that if Peña has to be shut down for a while, then Skipworth will be called up to be the third catcher behind Barnhart and Cabrera after Pensacola's season is over.
