“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Really curious ejection and reaction. I understand Welke throwing Votto out for appealing to the dugout. That can be seen as showing up the ump. But there must have been something else going on for Votto to explode like that. That was crazy.

    Utter frustration with this season?

    Incredible intensity?

I doubt he has contractual issues, LOL.

Bruce K's ---- would like to see a replay of his check swing --- but it was inevitable IMO

I think several don't like him turning around towards them to brush the dirt in the back of the box and debate most every call that goes against him. It can't help. We've all been around umpires and regardless of stature it can't possibly help him at the plate.

When Welke pointed to his eye, I don't think he was saying that Joey had hit him or spit on him. I think he was mocking Joey's eye for balls and strikes.

I don't really give a darn if Bruce makes out there. Game is meaningless.

But he swings away to go 0-2 and then strikes out on an ouside pitch. Not a good at bat.

I know I've said Bruce should be traded. But he should be. Enough.

I thought he meant Joey was making contact. Or very close to it.
