yes -- he was truly great - but -- always the but --- his strike zone was a tad different than the one in the rule book --- to his great credit -- he used every inch of it well

Thought Frazier had #31, but not so.

George seemed to think it was the third out.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

That being said...if the ump's strikezone was tight...he'd STILL hit the corners. By far, the best "pitcher" I've ever seen personally.

Waiting on WOY to post about Norm Van Lisberger and his 52 pitch shutout of the Brooklyn Bagshaws back in 1873.

Sure. Chapman would pitch the sixth in save situations.

Chapman pitches the 6th in save situations.

Best pitcher in the 90s: Maddux or Pedro. Go!

I know. The movement on his pitches....such a joy to watch. Tons and TONS of late movement...in every direction imaginable.

When I start my next band (which will be named Gothic Plague) my nom de plume will be Norm Van Lisberger, dammit!

    Most dominant. Pedro.
    Best pitcher. Maddux.

Pedro had better swing/miss stuff, but nobody had better command than Maddux.
