The Toddfather is up right now - would be nice to see him hit one to the seats on the first pitch.

Candidate for the Thommy B award? Why make the pitcher throw more than one pitch? That's just selfless right there.

I could have sworn that Boesch pinch hit earlier in the game.

On Broxton's final warm up pitch for Molina to throw down Frazier swings at it and grounds out.

    Suarez singles, Duvall HR

Chapman Ks Pham (as if it wasn't obvious that would happen).

Chapman's velocity hasn't woken up yet.

Chappy Ks the side with minimal effort for the save

    We're still good!

And Ks Carpenter to end the game. That was an exciting 9 out game - we should play them more often. Perhaps we'd have a better record.

While I get no one like a batter making an out on the first pitch, many hitter hit very weill on the first pitch, as it is often the best pitch you might see. Pitchers also understand the desire to get ahead of a batter.

Frazier has a .341 BA and a .622 SL% when he puts the first pitch into play.

After taking a first pitch strike, his OPS is .711.
