Wonder how the Reds internal scouts view him defensively.

It could be growing pains, but errors are mounting up.
Phillips did not make a good toss but he has to finish that play.

Phillips bobbled a routine ball just now and just recovered in time.

Phillips has touched the ball 3x and no errors given but has mishandled each time a bit like we aren't used to seeing

I know there is no one else, but haven't we seen enough of Sampson to know he's not ready fo prime time? What am I missing here?

Some of the guys, Lorenzen, Iggy, are approaching their innings limits.

I think Sampson is staying in the rotation because he's probably not near an innings limit.

Reds just trying to cover all the games with starting pitchers.

Doesn't mean anything in terms of the future, one way or the other, IMO.

probably pass him. Billy just doesn't get on base enough to justify him starting.

Reminds me of Rafael Ramirez....you get punked 'round here for complaining about Suarez' defense even though I've sifted thru endless threads here in the past bemoaning left field defense of all things

Bruce can't get after it like he used to. And I don't know if it's affecting play, but the cold wind is blowing tonight.

And I'm under dressed for this.

Those balls looked blasted via the boob tube. Easy HR in GABP for Byrd
