Pitiful "scouting" or plan on the high target and pitch selection to Grichek.

Crap. A leadoff walk to Cruz, a strikeout of Lynn, but Carpenter terrorizes the Reds again. 2 run HR to right. 3-0 Cards.

now a single by Pham and a double by Holliday, 4-0 Cards.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

All those gold gloves and yet the Cardinals are in first. Go figure.

BTW, I'm really thinking the Cardinals' secret is getting as many players in their 27-29 year range to supplement their solid players like Heyward and Holliday. Tommy Pham is the latest.

Cards fans like seeing Skip in the Reds lineup.

Actually, I kind of like Skip, as RedsZone whipping boys go.

I like Skip except for when the manger decides he should play before the 13th inning.

    Pros:

    Finnegan went 6 innings.
    He struck out 7.
    He walked just 1.

    Cons:
He gave up 6 earned runs
    He gave up 3 HRs
He gave up 2 2 run HRs to Carpenter

You never know what you might miss unless you watch it to know what you would've missed.

I've never had balut (fertilized duck eggs buried for a week before eating them) to know I'd prefer passing on them ----

It's safe to say that was the longest and hardest hit HR of Peter Bourjos' career. Congrats Jumbo
