Jon Lester is deep into his 10th big league season....in the first 5 innings tonight he increased his career runs scored by 50% and his career hits by 33.3%

Not necessarily in the 8th with a 5-1 lead

So close to escaping, but there's the walk to bring in another run.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It was classic Cingrani. Load 'em up, tease ya with two Ks, vapor-lock again.

Killed by Austin Jackson tonight, not even a Cubs starter.

Cingrani's time in Cincinnati is pretty much over, right?

Seems like it, a shame considering how well it started.

I miss the old Cingrani that hid the ball and the league wasn't savvy on the fact that his fastball was deceptively faster.

I want Pena to homer once before the season ends. Won't someone on the Cubs or Pirates just toss it underhand to him? What's the harm?

Trading the experience of Pena for the youth of Barnhart is a slippery slope. I wouldn't do it.

There were people among us who laughed at the idea of aggressively pursuing a deal for Castro prior to this season.

20 Redlegs in a row set down. Ugh. I hope I counted wrong.

Props to Starlin Castro for not pouting about his situation and just being a team player and doing what he can when called upon and at a different position.

He's been outstanding all night on offense and defense.

Silver lining time: Sam LeCure. Nice to see him back in the saddle.
