What was the last movie you watched?

I watched Single White Female for the first time last night. Not a perfect film but pretty good/suspenseful imo.

I'm a fan of those late 80's/early 90's thrillers. I'd like to watch the new Top Gun and Elvis movies soon but aren't too up on modern films today

My wife and I have been trying to watch some of the older classics that we had never watched before. Recently we watched the 1946 version of Gaslight. We thought it was really good. Very good acting. Ingrid Bergman won best actress for her performance.

Yeah that movie was good. A friend recommended it to me not that long ago.

Was interesting to see Anne Lansbury look so young as well.

We went to see that one when it came out in the theater. We like that genre too and liked this one quite a bit.

That was Lansbury first movie. She was only 17 when they started filming it.

I like movies from that era too. They rely more on storytelling, character building, acting and writing and less on visual effects and cool camera work. They are movies you can spend the rest of the night discussing with your friends. They might be a bit formulaic, or even predictable in terms of how they are shot, but I actually find comfort in that.

My wife and I are going to the theater today to see Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It’s a TCM sponsored thing.

I watched The Ballad of Cable Houge, throughly enjoyed it, I’m a big fan of Jason Robards.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

I no longer have an attention span, but I think it was Don't Look Up. Kind of hit and miss.

Watched "Prey" last week - I think the critics went a over-the-top with the praise, but it was a decent action movie with a unique setting and perspective. Critics giving it a 10 out of 10 or 5 out of 5 stars are being absurd, though.
What would you say.....ya do here?

Garp is great; so is the book. You’re a John Irving fan, as I recall.

On the recommendation of someone from where we go to church now, we finished watching Topper last night. It's a screwball comedy from 1937 starring Carey Grant and Constance Bennett. The comedy is dated. Every generation laughs at different things. Still there some funny moments. It was popular enough at the time that two more spinoff movies were made. It's a cute movie to watch just for fun.

We have started watching Citizen Kane. I watched this movie many years ago on WTBS. Many have said this is the best movie ever made. I don't get it myself. I didn't care for it back the first time I watched it and now years later I still don't get it.

I remember watching Garp when I was about 14, and thinking to myself at the time that I couldn't wait to grow up and watch it again because there was a lot I was sure I was missing. Very true.

Watched the Gray Man on Netflix the other night. It was ok, I have a hard time believing that the hero is so indestructible in these types of movies, but it moved fast and was entertaining.
    Where we gonna go?
