Just posting because I find this amazing every time it happens.....before a big surge, the storm will literally pull the water away from the shore, and then come back in with force. Anyone that has been in Tampa around the bay, you know the water comes right up to the walkways, etc. This was earlier tonight and Tampa Bay near the coast became "dry".

Thanks, I personally should be good....between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Hoping to maintain electricity through the night (fingers crossed).....just a ton of rain and heavy bands bringing hurricane level "gusts" of wind. Very concerned about those that live in the Sarasota & Tampa area. I do not think national news really covered the amount of flooding that areas around Tampa got with Helene and it just "scraped" the area.....very susceptible to flooding.

In regards to my absence.....just some life/schedule changes kept me busy the last couple seasons.....but very hopeful for next year with the changes and talent returning.

Because most have no power and most also got the hell out of there, there's nobody to report anywhere (wisely). Was hard to get a grasp of the devastation. It will all show up when it gets light outside. 2 Million residences without power, must be 10 Million people altogether.

My niece and her family is in Beveryly Hills, FA. He has a tree-cutting company, so he's going to be pretty busy. She's a nurse, so she'll be busy, too. First things first...hope their home is OK and that they and their kids are OK. The same for you, oneupper, Redhawkfish (especially if he's still in Sarasota), and others from around there.
