He made nearly $2M an episode in his final season of doing Two and a Half Men. Not sure exactly how much of his net worth is in cash, but I'm sure he's got tons of it.

This actually isn't true. While we are making great strides, current literature, specifically the HPTN 052 study, showed that over the 10 year course of the study, antiretroviral therapy reduces tranmission rates by 93% when the viral load has reached an undetectable level. The results were extremely encouraging, but we are still short of having ART remove the risk of transmitting the virus.
An undetectable viral load is defined as less than 50 copies of the virus per mL of blood, so there is still virus circulating. Viral loads can also fluctuate for a number of reasons, so without testing each day, there's no way to know that one is actually still at an undetectable level.

That's the Charlie Sheen we all know. It's all about me. He's been on a self-destructive path for many years.
Whenever I saw this guy, over the last 2-3 years, he didn't look good - thinner, more frail looking - and I wondered if something was going on with him.
One side of me feels sadness/sympathy for him, because of this disease... but the other side feels that if you're going to live such a permissive life style - and Charlie was the "wild one" (partying, prostitutes, porn stars) - then you're placing yourself at high risk. It simply goes with the territory.

Yeah, he looks awful in his recent pix. At 50, he's not a kid anymore, but it doesn't look like normal progressive aging.
Drugs are bad for you.
Abuse of drugs is what's bad for you, drugs themselves are independent of being termed "bad" in one felled swoop.
