    I didn't realize he had coached Houston for as long as he did. He was a ver good coach. Always had good teams. The pinnacle may have been his Phi Slamma Jamma teams. They should have won that 1983 championship But the fate of Jim Valvano came into play. Also his 1968 Houston team was outstanding. They beat UCLA at the Astrodome in front of 52,000. Most believe that game put college basketball on the national map.
