    RIP Andrew Smith

    Way, way too young.

Former Butler big man Andrew Smith, a key player on Brad Stevens' two teams that went to the national title game, died on Tuesday after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 25.

Just brutal news. Really cool story through college of a tall drink of water who had to walk on at Butler initially and developed into a legit weapon for the Bulldogs between his Freshman and Sophomore seasons. He was the leading scorer in his Junior Year(albeit averaging 10.8 Points/gm).

Obviously his basketball stats don't define his life but that's how everyone gained access to see the glorious man beneath.
